Description
A collaboration with celebrated artist Simon Schubert has created a mural collection of two of his extraordinary paper folding artworks. His enigmatic and ethereal art works are created from intricate paper folding techniques. Depicting Baroque-inspired interiors, the low relief of the folds and the neutral light and shade gives each artwork a ghostly feel. Each mural features a grand palatial interior but the disorientating perspective and the lack of shadow depth creates an eerie and perplexing unfamiliarity. To add to the sense of mystery, each room seems to lead to another space; a disappearing staircase, corridor or door ajar hints at more mysterious spaces beyond that are just out of reach. Born in Germany in 1973, Simon Schubert describes his paper folding artworks as sculptural drawings that move between two and three dimensions. Simon Schubert references the book Alice in Wonderland as an inspiration and these three murals certainly take the viewer to hidden worlds. Orders of more than £500 will include free 2 man delivery throughout mainland England and Wales.
Orders of less than £500 we charge a flat fee of £40 for our 2 man delivery service.
Orders over £1,500 are eligible for free delivery to Scotland.
We can usually deliver in-stock items within a few weeks to most of these areas. If you live in a particularly remote area, on one of the UK’s beautiful islands, Ireland or, somewhere else in the world; then please contact us for a quotation and, specific delivery times.
We use a specialist 2 man delivery service for our furniture. They will unwrap it at the delivery address, so that you can inspect it before you sign our delivery advice note to confirm that you are happy. If you have selected the white glove service at checkout our couriers will build your item in your room of choice for you.
Returns
If a defect was found upon delivery, we will refund you in full. We will use our own courier to collect damaged items at no cost to you.
Return of unwanted products; we will refund the price of the Product in full. However, the customer is responsible for all delivery and return costs Our return delivery cost with our courier is £85 per item. Product (s) must be returned in the original packaging. You have 14 days from the date your items are delivered to advise us if you would like to return an item.
